Stripe celebrates 10 years in Singapore by expanding its infrastructure for global businesses

SINGAPORE—Stripe today shared new tools to accelerate the global expansion of Asian businesses, from expanded multi-currency treasury capabilities and new payment methods, to the ability to sell domestically in dozens of countries without a local entity.

Ten years on from Stripe’s first launch in Asia, more than 80,000 businesses and solopreneurs in Singapore now use Stripe, including global builders like Supabase, serving customers in more than 150 countries, and Manus, which sells into more than 200 countries. More than six in ten Singapore-based users sell internationally.

Sarita Singh, regional head and managing director for Southeast Asia, Greater China and South Korea said: “We’ve been partnering with Asia’s internet pioneers for a decade and the newest generation are growing at unprecedented speed. We’re expanding our core global infrastructure to accelerate them further.”

Sell globally, like a local
Asian businesses selling digital products can now easily sell to customers in 195 countries while Stripe handles indirect tax, disputes, fraud protection, customer support and more, through Stripe Managed Payments. Businesses also benefit from higher payment success rates as Stripe routes transactions through its own local entities around the world. Fast-growing Singaporean businesses like Ahrefs and Razer are already accelerating their global expansion with Stripe Managed Payments.

Businesses on Stripe can also automatically localise pricing for international customers with Adaptive Pricing, which drives an average 17.8% uplift in cross-border revenue.

Businesses with customers around the world need to meet those customers with the payment methods they prefer. Later this year, businesses on Stripe will be able to accept cross-border payments with MoMo, GCash, Touch ’n Go, PromptPay, and TrueMoney. And in Q4 Stripe will begin enabling ShopeePay and SPayLater across Southeast Asia, and Samsung Pay globally.

For too many businesses, the international revenues they earn arrive slowly and are reduced by FX fees. When businesses want to use that money to make payments across borders, they face more delays and fees. Stripe is solving this with new money management capabilities. Singapore businesses can already hold balances in 10 currencies and instantly convert between them. In early 2027, Stripe will bring the full Stripe Treasury experience to Singapore, adding the ability to spend from balances and pay recipients anywhere in the world directly from the Stripe Dashboard.

With Stripe Treasury, revenue from international sales will be available instantly for paying suppliers, contractors, and third parties in nearly 100 countries. Businesses will be able to receive and store funds in SGD, USD, AUD, GBP and EUR.

The announcements came at Stripe Tour Singapore, where thousands of the region’s most ambitious business leaders gathered to discuss opportunities for accelerated growth.
